Step 1: Choose a Concept

Have the student write the name of the concept they are studying at the top of a blank page. This seems simple, but it forces focus on a single variable.

Step 2: Teach it to a Child

Ask the student to explain the concept in plain English. Zero Jargon. If they start using big words, they are likely covering up a gap in their understanding. Forcing simplicity reveals exactly where the knowledge "leaks" are.

Step 3: Identify the Gaps

When the student gets stuck, go back to the source material. This is where you, the tutor, jump in. Re-explain the missing link, then have them repeat Step 2. This cycle of "Review-Simplify-Teach" creates unshakable mastery.
